Ryan Neutze - Director
Owner/Operator of RN Building Limited. Ryan did a Building Trade course at Aoraki Polytechnic in 2007. Ryan did his Building Apprenticeship in 2008-2011, specialising in new homes. In 2011 Ryan worked for a skilled carpenter with many years of knowledge and gained a wealth of industry experience. In 2012-2014 Ryan was Head Foreman specialising in new builds. Foreman on two large commercial buildings; the Vet Centre and a large Preschool. In 2015 Ryan established RN Building as a Qualified Builder, NZ Certified Building Member, Registered lPB and Site Safe Member. Ryan and his wife Ella have two wonderful children Daisy and Theodore. Ryan loves treats and can usually be bribed with a bag of lollies. Outside of work Ryan loves the outdoors and sports were he is usually found on the rugby pitch or the golf course.
Mitchell Hewson
Mitch joined the RN Building team in October 2018. After starting his Apprenticeship in January 2011 at Bradford Building in Ashburton, working mainly on commercial projects, he became Qualified in 2016. Mitch was the Health and Safety Manager and Quality Control Officer for EA Networks building projects. Some main projects Mitch has worked on include concrete placement/ reinforcement on a big scale. Precast concrete/steel beams and heavy duty crane work. He is a skilled concrete worker and has worked on some high spec residential houses. Mitch always has a smile on his face and can be found Four wheel driving, playing squash or fellowship with Christian friends . He also loves spending time with his wife and children.
Rhys Guthrie-Biggs
Rhys is one of our Qualified Builders here at RN Building. He has a large range of skills which put him ahead of the game. He has a background in roofing and installing log fires so Rhys knows his way around a building site. He is a family man and spends his weekends Four wheel driving, mountain biking or getting away for camping trips. Rhys is a big food lover and never says no to a free morning tea!
Ben Rutherford
Ben joined the RN Building team in 2024 as a Qualified Builder. Ben, his wife and daughter made the move from the UK to Geraldine at the start of 2024. Ben enjoys spending time with his family exploring his new home and getting out finding all the local fishing spots. Ben also welcomed his second child in 2025.
Mathew Harding
Mathew joined the RN Building team at the end of 2020 as a Junior Apprentice. In 2025 he qualified as a fully Qualified Builder. He’s a keen young lad who has been with us since finishing his schooling at Geraldine High School. He is a hard worker and has gained a wide range of skills each day out on the building site. When Matt has down time he enjoys working on his cars and hunting.
Scott Albon
Scott joined the RN Building team in 2025 as a fully Qualified Builder. Scott has over 15 years experience building commercial and high end homes in the Ashburton Area. On his time off Scott enjoys heading away camping and boating with his family.
Jonty Sowden
Jonty joined the RN Building team in 2023 and is in the 2nd year of his Building Apprenticeship. He has been a Geraldine local his whole life. He is a keen rugby player and is currently playing for Geraldine. He also enjoys getting out hunting when he gets the chance.
Jacob Muff
Jacob joined the RN Building team in 2025 and is enjoying working through his Building Apprenticeship. He is usually out and about enjoying some motorbiking or hunting on his weekends. You will also find Jacob out in the Geraldine red and black colours on the rugby field over Winter.
Scott Robertson
Scott joined the RN Building team in 2025 and is enjoying working through his Building Apprenticeship. He is currently in his 2nd year of his Apprenticeship. Scott is a Geraldine local who enjoys golf, cricket and rugby when he is off the tools.
Tesa Drake
Tesa joined our team in 2022 as our Office Administrator. Tesa has completed both a Diploma in Business and Accounting. She is working part time for RN Building and spends the rest of her time raising her young family. She enjoys spending time with her family and playing netball.
